# Workspace targets

> Named dashboard sections that integrations ship with (a first-party surface; partners should not set it).

Only `kind: 'integration'` packages can declare workspace targets — the named dashboard sections they ship with. This is a first-party surface today. Partner integrations have their widgets placed individually by an admin in the composer.

## When to use

You almost certainly should not set this. Composition is admin-curated.

## For future reference

`WorkspaceTargetDefinition` is exported from the root entrypoint if you need it:

```ts theme={null}
import type { WorkspaceTargetDefinition } from '@ekanos/sdk';
```

The `workspaceTargets` field is validated if you set it, but partner integrations should not populate it.
