# Ekanos Integration SDK

Build integrations for Ekanos — the dashboard that connects all your business tools. Ekanos is the authoring and deployment toolkit for creating integrations that add widgets, assistant tools, scheduled jobs, and real-time event handlers to Ekanos dashboards.

## What's an integration?

An integration is a package that adds capabilities to Ekanos:

* **Widgets** — Dashboard cards displaying data or interactive controls
* **Tools** — Functions the Ekanos assistant can call to read data or trigger actions
* **Webhooks** — Event handlers triggered by your provider's real-time updates
* **Schedules** — Recurring jobs that sync data or perform maintenance
* **Actions** — Widget-invoked handlers for deterministic writes (no AI synthesis)
* **OAuth** — Secure connection flows with third-party providers
* **Storage** — Per-account and per-user state with schema validation, and opt-in browser exposure for account keys

An integration declares upfront what it does, what it can access, and which origins it calls. `defineIntegration()` validates the declaration at import time, `ekanos validate` runs the same schema, and the host re-validates it against that schema at registration.
